Key Account Manager

Essential Job Functions

In this role, you are primarily accountable to manage a series of key accounts in MPR. You focus on improving sales volumes and profitability of mobile and permanent unit sales, through developing key relationships and knowledge of clients operating structures and processes. In addition, you ensure that MPR services and other products e.g. Cyntrol, are represented and opportunities taken.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage multiple key sales accounts and regularly interface with clients and end users to understand specific needs and respond with the appropriate solutions. Act as the customer’s reference point.
  • Ensure ongoing account responsibilities for those MPR permanent units which have been placed as part of an ongoing service agreement.
  • Be proficient in specifying projects based upon client input and communicate with operations and engineering about the successful delivery of those projects. In addition, this person is required to generate detailed and professional project proposals and have the ability to negotiate the commercial terms of each proposal.
  • Have input to and then execute sales for mobile, permanent and associated services and products.
  • Take responsibility for effectively setting up customer accounts. At the conclusion of each project or order follow-up for the complete and accurate payment.
  • Identify, research, and develop new growth opportunities with a focus on growing market size. Develop new business within those spheres.
  • Maintain active involvement in appropriate industry groups and work within those groups to enhance the MPR brand.
  • Be actively involved in the development of targeted deliverables, goals and budgets. Be accountable to deliver, achieve and exceed targeted levels.

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • A degree in Chemical Engineering with related process engineering experience is preferred. Alternative suitable degree qualifications are acceptable, with associated industry experience.
  • Three years of amine or gas treating experience is preferred
  • Five years of technical sales experience is required
  • Refining, ammonia plant, natural gas processing and syngas production experience is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A second language proficiency is preferred
