Supply Planner

Essential Job Functions

As a Supply Planner, you are responsible for the completion of the monthly supply plan across TKI. While acting as a vital part of the monthly S&OP process, you work across the organization to ensure the most efficient supply plan is created.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Work across the organization to take abstract concepts and build concrete solutions that drive the monthly demand planning process with the SAP PTP module.
  • Interpret outlines and alternatives from an abundance of information and sources and process them into an actionable supply plan.
  • Passionate about meeting or exceeding standards and goals to ensure the master data is accurate and current in SAP to help drive the DRP and MRP functionality.
  • Promote new ways of looking at processes to work more effectively with the manufacturing organization to maximize their time related to supply requirements.
  • Generate accurate (long term) results in the face of unforeseen circumstances, by eliminating obstacles and driving creative sustainable solutions.
  • Apply technical knowledge to correctly address working with the demand planner to ensure a seamless process transfer.
  • Process key financial information in a critical manner while working with the finance team by apprising them of revenue fluctuations when looking at a horizon of 24-36 months with the forecast vs. budget.
  • Ability to instinctively look for possibilities to improve the services for internal and external customers. Put the customer first and meet their needs by working effectively across the organization to ensure products are at targeted inventory levels.
  • Have a thorough understanding of the supply markets and use critical thinking to develop models for 24-36 months out to help understand any current or future demand and supply issues for discussion at the monthly Supply Reviews.
  • Collaborate with the sourcing team to make sure sufficient raw materials are in the pipeline to support the latest demand plan.
  • Assist in training and being trained in other cross-functional duties within the department.

Skills & Knowledge Required

  • B.S. in Supply Chain, Operations, or 3-5 years of equivalent working experience
  • Understanding of how to function in a highly compressed seasonal business
  • Extensive knowledge of how to work with SAP in the supply planning process
  • Broad based knowledge of the supply planning process
  • Formal training with the S&OP APIC, CPIM is a plus
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office suite, with extensive capability with Access and Excel, Visio is a plus
  • Ability to maximize the plant personnel’s time in the supply process
  • Demonstrated abilities in change management, project leadership, and team work
  • Ability to communicate well and build relationships with all levels of staff and a good listener
  • Industry experience is preferred
