OWENSBORO, KY (Feb. 23, 2017) – Tessenderlo Kerley, Inc. (TKI) Crop Vitality and the Owensboro Riverport Authority (ORA) signed a long-term contract for the construction of a liquid fertilizer storage tank to better serve the agriculture community. This agreement indicates ORA’s commitment and foresight on delivering high valued services to Owensboro and the surrounding communities.
TKI Crop Vitality will be storing Thio-Sul®, an environmentally safe liquid plant nutrient that delivers essential nitrogen and sulfur to crops. Adding Thio-Sul to nitrogen solutions is an economical and effective way to reduce nitrogen loss. In addition, Thio-Sul can improve soil structure in high pH soils, increase water filtration, aid in breaking down previous crop residue and enhance nitrogen use by the plant and nitrogen uptake.
Bill Koontz, Regional Manager of TKI Crop Vitality, said “This additional infrastructure further illustrates our commitment to our customers and position as the world’s largest producer of sulfur-based liquid plant nutrients.”
